The Achensee Golf and Country Club is the oldest golf club in Tyrol and was founded in 1934, it is at an altitude of 950m and is a 45 minutes drive from Kitzbuhel. The course was completely redesigned in 1995 and now has nine fairways and 18 greens.
This jewel of a golf course nestles between the foothills of the Karwendel range and the silvery Achensee lake, the Tyrols highest lake. A covered driving range was built in 1997 and can be played from sides, the view to Lake Achensee more than makes up for and hooks or slices.
