Cambridge Meridian Golf Club is so called because it straddles the Greenwich Meridian Line - just one of 10 courses in the world to do so. Golfers cross the Meridian Line seven times during their round on this stunning championship course. The course sits majestically on a glorious 210 acre site between the villages of Toft and Comberton, just 5 miles west of Cambridge. It was designed by the Ryder Cup players, Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, and many in the know suggest that it is Alliss's best UK course design. At 6,700 yards, with a par of 73, and water dotted around on many holes, it is a stern scoring test for the lowest of handicaps but its generous fairways make it pleasantly playable for all. Reminiscent of a links course in places, it combines classic golf with modern golfing challenges. The USGA standard greens give a wonderful putting surface all year round and the triple tier 5th green is one you'll never forget.

The course is frequently used by the PGA and county associations for championships and matches, has proudly hosted the English Ladies' Seniors' Open Championship on three occasions, and has hosted a number of international putting masterclasses and championships - a testament to the excellence of the greens.

Each hole is designed to be a challenge with mature oaks and weeping willows draped around the carefully nurtured greens and lakes. Other holes show a definite links character, with wispy grass, gorse and numerous carefully placed bunkers.

The clubhouse is regarded as one of the friendliest in the area, with a warm welcome, real ale and great food. The bar and restaurant area is the perfect place to unwind after your round. The terrace, overlooking a lake and the 18th green, enjoys sunshine all day long in the summer and is the perfect place to have a drink after the game, whether celebrating or commiserating.    The bar menu is available all day, everyday. Lizzie, our caterer, has a fine repuation for her home cooked Sunday lunches and society golfers travel miles to enjoy her famous "Cow Pie", (often more memorable than the golf).
