Fancourt Hotel offers accommodation in the beautifully restored Manor House or one of the stately Garden Suites and Studios. At the Manor House, you will find a restful haven in a building with a history dating back to the beginning of the 19th century: A National Monument, the Manor House with its 34 bedrooms is situated in a wooded parkland and is the perfect base for your leisure or conference activities which comprises of Standard Rooms, Executive Rooms and Deluxe Hotel Suites. The Garden Suites and Studios offer guests the chance to rest in the most peaceful setting of all - the magnificent gardens. Depending on your specific requirements, choose from the Garden Studios or the One or Two-Bedroomed Garden Suites. All are just a few steps away from the Fancourt's renowned tree- and flower-lined garden avenues; and some offer stunning views of the golf course. 

Golf

There is no doubt that Fancourt is South Africa’s premier golf resort, featuring three highly rated Championship golf courses as well as the Western Cape’s premier 18-hole public course. Since opening in the early 90's with just 27 Gary Player-designed holes, Fancourt’s Outeniqua and Montagu golf courses have matured and developed into two of the finest 18-hole parkland layouts in the country. The Links at Fancourt was added in 2000 and Bramble Hill was added, a course that is distinctly Fancourt, yet has a friendly character all of its own. In addition to four golf courses suited to every type of golfer, Fancourt boasts one of the finest golf academies in the world, with state-of-the-art practice and teaching facilities, backed up by the expertise of PGA professionals, as well as several well-stocked on-course pro shops offering all types of golf merchandise.

Dining & Entertainment

The Fancourt Hotel houses five fabulous restaurants offering a variety of excellent dining experiences in truly delightful settings. La Cantina is located in the historic Manor House and serves a buffet breakfast and traditional Italian cuisine in a warm Mediterranean atmosphere. Sansibar is also situated in the Manor House and serves modern African cuisine representative of a host of African countries. Le P?cheur, situated in the main clubhouse, specializes in freshly prepared seafood dishes in a relaxed open-kitchen setting. Bramble Lodge is located next to The Links Clubhouse and offers relaxed intimate dining, global fusion cuisine - a combination of flavours from the world over, using a variety of spices, herbs, flowers and locally grown produce - is their speciality. Morning Glory overlooks the 1st tee of the Outeniqua Golf Course and serves light healthy meals.

Facilities:

Sporting facilities at Fancourt provide entertainment for the entire family. Four tennis courts, bowls, croquet, volleyball, outdoor swimming, indoor heated pool and jacuzzi are just a few to tempt the energetic type. Supervised games and crafts for children are available to keep the young ones busy while mom and dad enjoy their game of golf or quiet time in the health and beauty pavilion.

The Fancourt Leisure Trail consisting of two distances, 1,9 or 6 kilometres has been designed specifically with the needs of the outdoor trainer in mind. So whether running or walking you will have the opportunity to nourish body and soul while enjoying the Resort's scenic beauty.

The Riding Centre is based on the eastern side of the George Riding Club grounds. It offers outrides in the forests surrounding the beautiful Garden Route Dam. Flowers and birds are abundant and you may have the luck to see the occassional bushback or loerie. The Riding Centre offers rides of different lengths and standards. Champagne breakfast rides are available and this could include non-riders or family members.
